Numerous guests recently took part in the anniversary celebration of the Wels Dementia Service Center. For ten years now, 40 affected people and their families have been cared for in Haus Neustadt on Flurgasse.
The offer includes a wide range of support services, such as consultations, psychological testing and regular training for relatives. In small groups, those affected are trained in how to properly deal with their illness, depending on the stage they are currently in.
Vice Mayor Christa Raggl-Mühlberger (FP), who is responsible for the service center as a social officer in the city senate, calls on people to take advantage of the offer: “It is important not to stigmatize people, but to promote the inclusion of those affected. Ours is especially important for this Trained employees will be happy to answer any questions you may have.”
