A young Pole was in a particularly hurry on Monday morning on the A1 in the direction of Vienna: The 23-year-old was traveling at 205 km/h in the Puckingerberg area in the Linz-Land district around 11:30 a.m., as the motorway police officers’ laser measuring devices showed. 100 km/h would have been allowed.
The speeder was stopped at the Ansfelden Süd rest stop and had to hand in his driver’s license on the spot. A security deposit was collected and he will be charged, the police said on Monday afternoon.
