An argument may have been the trigger for the crime. The victim suffered a stab in the neck and had to be flown by helicopter to a hospital in Salzburg. According to the authorities, there is no danger to life. The suspect was taken to the Mattighofen police station and then transferred to the Ried prison, where he was questioned on Monday by officers from the State Criminal Police Office.
The Ried public prosecutor’s office has already requested pre-trial detention for the suspect. “We assume that our application will be approved by Tuesday at the latest,” says Alois Ebner in an interview with the OÖN.
