The classic by Johann Strauß premieres today at 7:30 p.m. at the Blindenmarkter Autumn Days. Michael Garschall, director of the festival, promises the audience in the production “a world full of emotions and musical flights of fancy”. Festival veteran Kurt Dlouhy alternates with Thomas Böttcher at the conductor’s podium, choreographer Monica Rusu-Radman directs, Andreas Sauerzapf has created a new version and is also directing the dialogue.
Anna-Sophie Lienbacher and Marcus Ganser are responsible for the equipment. There are also provisions for technical surprises. The women’s trio Lena Stöckelle, Katrin Fuchs and Larissa Winkel can be admired on stage, with four tenors vying for the women’s favor: Clemens Kerschbaumer, Martin Mairinger, Andreas Sauerzapf and Lukas Karzel. Georg Kusztrich, Andy Hallwaxx and Robert Kolar shine in the comic roles.
