It remains unusually warm for the time of year, as the experts from Geosphere Austria (formerly ZAMG) announced on Sunday.
At first the weather will be changeable before the thermometer will climb to up to 27 degrees from Wednesday.
At the Monday The new week starts in the first half of the day in the inner Alps, in the south and in the very west it is often quite sunny, apart from a few patches of early fog. In the north and east it is already more cloudy. In the afternoon the clouds will thicken again, with some, locally quite heavy, rain showers moving through. Cloud cover tends to increase in the rest of Austria, but it mostly remains dry in Vorarlberg, Tyrol, Carinthia and southern Styria. On the mountains you have to expect strong, and at high altitudes sometimes even stormy, north-westerly winds. It can also be very windy, but only occasionally stormy, in the lowlands from Upper Austria to Burgenland. The early temperatures are seven to 13 degrees, the daily maximum temperatures are usually 18 to 26 degrees.
Partly stronger residual clouds are forming Tuesday particularly noticeable in the north and east as well as on the north side of the Alps. It can always rain a bit. Otherwise it is already quite sunny and the sun will appear in almost all of Austria by the afternoon. The wind blows weakly in the west and south, otherwise moderate at first, and brisk at higher altitudes. In the afternoon the wind dies down everywhere. The early temperatures are forecast at eight to 15 degrees, the daily maximum temperatures at 17 to 25 degrees. The highest values are said to be in the West.
In the middle of the week, the local fog fields in the southeast will dissipate by mid-morning. Otherwise it seems on Wednesday The sun spreads and only thin clouds pass through. The wind blows light to moderate from southeast to west. The temperatures are four to eleven degrees in the morning and a late summer 21 to 27 degrees in the afternoon.
At the Thursday Things continue to be warm, albeit a little cloudier. Individual patches of fog will soon dissipate and the sun will often shine at first. From the afternoon onwards, denser cloud fields will move in from the north-west and there may be some rain later in the extreme north. The wind blows moderately to briskly from the west in the Danube region and the northern edge of the Alps, and mostly weakly from the south in the south. The lowest temperatures reach five to twelve degrees, the daily highs reach 21 to 27 degrees.
At the Friday The day starts with some dense clouds from Upper Austria to northern Burgenland, as the Geosphere experts predict. But the clouds quickly move away to the north. In the south, patches of fog will dissipate as the morning progresses. Otherwise the sun often shines until the evening and there are only a few clouds in the sky. The wind will be light to moderate from the east to southwest. During the day it can become foehn in some Alpine valleys. The early temperatures are six to 14 degrees, the daily maximum temperatures are between 21 and 26 degrees.
