With second place on the day and two very good runs, the young pilot from HSV Ried secured the runner-up national championship title in the 85cc class – in his first season. “I never thought it would go so well,” says Jonas, son of former national champion Robert Jonas. Jonas already landed on the podium at the state championship races in Mehrnbach in August.
His 13-year-old club colleague Moritz Ernecker also put in a strong performance at the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85. Despite bad luck, Ernecker achieved a good sixth place in the German Dreetz.
