Artificial intelligence is a “game changer in business and society”. This is what Hans-Peter Pichler, founder of the start-up company FiveSquare, said at the WKO Braunau business reception. He encouraged the audience to throw aside reservations about the new technology for the benefit of their own company.
In front of around 200 regional entrepreneurs, State Secretary Florian Tursky also commented on AI and urged speed up the regulation of artificial intelligence: “AI can bring a variety of positive effects, but also risks. The latest developments around ChatGPT and Chinese AI Draft laws show that artificial intelligence requires rapid regulation in the European Union and Austria.”
WKOÖ Vice President Angelika Sery-Froschauer emphasized the importance of AI in international competition, but also called for measures to raise awareness and build trust in the new technology. She emphasized that AI will be one of the most important technologies of the future and that preparing the economy and companies for it is of crucial importance for Austria’s competitiveness and location.
