Fernando Mattos minimized the impact of livestock farming on climate change

There, he maintained that “the climate change is a global concern”, and that “its causes are generated by man and not by cows”.

Mattos He pointed out that the contribution of livestock to climate change is “clearly oversized,” and called for a greater scientific basis when making calculations.

The minister stated that, on the contrary, livestock farming is “a solution to food security” in the world, and highlighted the importance of the sector in Uruguayas well as their contributions to the economic and social development of the country.
