A specialist in Administration with a master’s degree in Communication, the candidate for the presidency of Ecuador for National Democratic Action (ADN), Daniel Noboa, will take the chance tomorrow of being the youngest president in the history of the country, a possibility that depends, on Part of it is whether he manages to bring together the sectors that reject Correism and whether his speech “towards the future” has caught on with citizens.
The idea of “a new Ecuador” and that it represents “a new generation” was repeated during the campaign in speeches and messages on networks by Noboa, who is barely 35 years old.
Son of who is considered the richest man in the country – Álvaro Noboa, a banana magnate with branches in several areas and five times candidate for the presidency – Noboa won the right to be in the second round after appearing as a surprise behind the runner-up Luisa González in the August elections.

Before, he starred in a kind of digital blooper with his father: as soon as President Guillermo Lasso ordered the “crossed death” (dissolution of the National Assembly and call for elections), Álvaro Noboa announced his candidacy through a video. Just a day later, Daniel Noboa did the same and the two videos coexisted for a few hours until his father took down her publication.
Noboa, who has already announced that if he wins tomorrow he will seek re-election in 2025, dedicates an hour every morning to jogging and weight training.
Although he often sought to present himself as someone who came “from outside” politics, his status as the son of the owner of the largest business emporium in the country and the seat he held in the AN between 2021 and this year blur that claim.
