The 60-year-old Romanian was on the way to Ried in his car on the B 143 around 4 p.m. when he skidded in a left-hand bend in the municipality of Aurolzmünster. He crashed into a traffic sign and the road guard rail. Due to the force of the impact, the car overturned and came to rest on the roof in the front yard of a residential building.
The driver and his passenger, a 60-year-old from the Ried district, a 21-year-old and a 21-year-old from the Schärding district, were able to free themselves and were taken to hospital by the emergency doctor and rescue with serious injuries.
