The apprentice fair “Live your talent” in the Rohrbacher Centro attracted a lot of interest at the weekend. Around 1,000 visitors gained an overview of job opportunities in the region. 60 exhibitors and the district’s polytechnic schools presented various careers and training opportunities on site.
The high level of participation from companies shows that companies are very interested in young talent, says Michael Schaubmeier, head of the WKO Rohrbach: “In order to secure skilled workers in the future, we must pay more attention than ever to the correct and successful educational and career decisions of our young people “That’s why such event formats are extremely important.”
The apprentice fair gives young people and job seekers access to a wide range of apprenticeships, says WKO chairman Andreas Höllinger: “Our apprentices are the skilled workers of tomorrow and a crucial success factor for companies and the business location.”
The AMS, the youth service, Jugend am Werk, the employment assistance for young people and the Chamber of Commerce also support the young people in their search for the right training place.
The visitors also had the opportunity to listen to two lectures on career orientation: “Apprenticeship with a Matura” and “My path to my dream job”.
