Apparently in the garden of a community citizen, Bauer rudely threatens him with “I’ll kill you, you asshole, you!” and “You won’t be in your house next week if I want you to!” This is followed by pushing and shoving from the mayor, and eventually his counterpart also becomes violent. This is said to have been preceded by an argument in the pub, of which there are also said to be video recordings.
FPÖ wants immediate resignation
After the videos became known, Bauer announced that he would be stepping down from his political functions at the end of November. But that has nothing to do with these “private incidents”. The change of mayor was planned, but now it will be implemented a few days earlier. The FPÖ – coalition partner of the ÖVP in Lower Austria – does not go far enough: State Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner (VP) must ensure that the local leader resigns immediately, according to the Freedom Party.
