After a dog attack in Wilfleinsdorf: woman (52) died in hospital

Police spokesman Stefan Loidl confirmed corresponding media reports on Wednesday afternoon. An autopsy has been ordered. A Rottweiler attacked the woman on July 26th. The 52-year-old and her two grandchildren were injured.

According to police, the dog ran out of a garden onto the street, attacked the trio and bit them several times. The grandmother and two-year-old grandson were flown to hospitals, and a seven-year-old was also taken to the hospital.

According to the police spokesman, the woman died on October 6th. She is the second person to die after a dog attack in Austria within a short period of time. In Naarn in the Perg district, a jogger was attacked by an American Staffordshire Terrier on October 2nd and was so seriously injured that she died at the scene of the accident.
