Several police patrols and officers from the Cobra special unit responded to the Tyrolean capital on Wednesday evening. According to initial information, a man with a firearm was seen in the market square area. This was confirmed by a police spokesman. Emergency services were looking for the unknown man.

The market square was surrounded, the old town garage was sealed off and checks were also carried out in the market hall garage. According to an online report from the “Tiroler Tageszeitung”, the operation in the garages was ended around 9 p.m. However, the police did not want to confirm this for the time being.
