Sergio Botana (National Party) on the negotiations between the ruling party and the opposition.

The legislator, one of the promoters of the project, recognized the contributions of Town meeting and the Broad Front, as well as the commitment of Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the president Luis Lacalle Pou. “He asked us every day or weekly. While another of the authors, Germán Coutinho, of the Colorado Party, He was “proud” of the solution reached. “They bore a debt as heavy as it was unjust, with modalities and rates that condemned them to an economic obligation and an eternal duration,” he noted in his speech at the Parliament.

From Open Town Hall, Marcos Methol, He valued that “it is a solution that will help give certainty to thousands of families so that they have a clear horizon of when they will be able to free themselves from that heavy burden that they have carried for so long.”
