Members of “Jewish Voice for Peace” gathered at the Cannon Office Building to demand a ceasefire in the Palestinian enclave and demanding to “let Gaza live,” according to the American news network ABC.
Capitol police arrested dozens of protesters. The groups also gathered outside the parliamentary building.
The organization published on social networks the reason for the action they are carrying out: “Gaza faces a genocide with full support of the United States and we are here as Jews to reject complicity and say never again, for no one“.
Demonstrations in Arab countries
Thousands of protesters in Arab and Muslim-majority countries today expressed their outrage over the bombing that left hundreds dead in a hospital in Loop, for which there were cross accusations between Hamas and Israel.

In Tunisia, thousands of protesters gathered in front of the French embassy, condemning Western support for Israel and accusing the United States and France of being “allies of the Zionists.”
France, like the United Kingdom and Germany, banned demonstrations to “avoid riots.”
In Lebanon, hundreds of people participated in a demonstration called by Hezbollah in its stronghold in the southern suburbs of Beirut, waving Palestinian and Shiite party flags.
