A special vernissage for the exhibition by the Schärding Photo Friends recently took place in the Schärdinger Granitmusuem. On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Schärding Volunteer Fire Department, the comrades were put in the right light. The resulting images can now be admired in the Granite Museum. At the opening of the exhibition, the picture that the Schärdingen artist Patrick Stricher had donated to the fire department was also auctioned off. The contract was awarded to Kompas-SD GmbH, represented by managing director Werner Schätzl, who offered 2,200 euros for the work. “The photo exhibition was a great success,” says fire department commander Markus Furtner. “The numerous photographers from the Fotofreunde took and selected great photos for this.” The large proceeds from the auction are an additional, special joy, says Furtner.
The exhibition celebrating the 150th fire brigade anniversary can be seen until Friday, November 3rd, daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Schärdinger Granite Museum (next to the water gate).
