The injured driver was freed from the overturned vehicle by Red Cross emergency services and given first aid. He was then taken to the hospital.

Since the truck blocked both lanes, the entire Weißenbachtal had to be closed. Traffic was diverted over a large area, the Bad Ischl fire department reported on Friday evening.

Expiring resources were tied up by the firefighters. In order to be able to recover the 35-tonne accident vehicle, the guard rails at the edge of the road had to be removed and the screw conveyor of the concrete mixer had to be removed using hydraulic rescue equipment and a cut-off machine.
The operation was completed after 4.5 hours.
The Mitterweißenbach volunteer fire department, the Bad Ischl main fire station and the Vöcklabruck fire department were on duty. The Red Cross, several police patrols and two trucks from a special mining company were also on site.
