Olivera assured that he does not care who wins in Argentina, as long as the situation on the coast is resolved

The general elections in Argentina not only has the neighboring country in suspense, but also the Uruguay which continues to be affected by the exchange rate difference, causing the trade and the industry national are not competitive if Uruguayans cross the border to make their purchases and contract services.

Meanwhile, in relation to the hopes that the leader has after the elections in the neighboring country, Olivera said that “Argentina is the culprit” and that nothing can be done from Uruguay about it. The mayor mentioned that this Sunday will be a key moment to determine what the future of the city will be. Argentina and, therefore, of much of the Uruguay that today suffers from the exchange difference.

“Everyone says that the situation in Argentina “It is unsustainable,” stated the mayor who hopes that after this Sunday, reality will begin to change in favor of the Uruguay. “We hope that the dollar begins to pair with the peso and so that Uruguayans do not find it so attractive to travel there,” Olivera remarked.

Regarding the preferences of the candidates, The mayor assured that “as long as the problem is fixed, anyone wins” and that Argentines can overcome the situation they are in and improve their quality of life.
