“The construction industry has had better times. That’s why, in my opinion, this year’s Haus & Bau trade fair comes at the right time. We want to convey a positive atmosphere and hope that this will lead to a better order situation for exhibitors from the region,” says Rieds Trade fair director Helmut Slezak.

From November 10th to 12th, around 190 exhibitors will present their wide range of construction and living products at the 26th edition of Haus & Bau in Ried. “Visitors learn about the latest trends, receive valuable tips about their projects and find reliable partners for implementation,” says project manager Vita-Theresa Richter-Irsigler.

The Living Gallery in Hall 13 has been an integral part of Haus & Bau for 20 years. 15 companies from the region will present their creative concepts in a special open exhibition on an area of more than 1000 square meters. The companies work closely together when implementing construction or renovation projects. “I’m really looking forward to the trade fair. It’s certainly an indicator of the current mood,” says master painter Michael Großbötzl, spokesman and exhibitor at the Galerie des Wohnen.

“Haus & Bau is a very good opportunity to present our latest products to the surrounding house builders. We also hope that we can allay some of the customers’ fears. Many believe that building is so expensive at the moment. The prices are “It’s fallen a bit again recently,” says Matthias Huemer from the Tile Huemer company with locations in Regau and Tumeltsham. In Hall 12, the Ried District Police Command will advise trade fair visitors on how best to protect themselves from “uninvited guests”. “We only advise, we don’t give any purchase recommendations, nor are we allowed to. We’re looking forward to lots of discussions at the trade fair,” says Roman Stadler, control inspector at the Ried district police command. It is positive that the number of night falls has been declining since the corona pandemic. Instead, a lot of things have shifted to online fraud. Nevertheless, the police show a lot of presence at dusk and at night, especially in residential areas. (tst)

The fair is open daily from November 10th to 12th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All information is available online at www.hausundbau.at
