It is contractually stipulated that a buyer not only has to take over the rental agreement from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, but the police are not allowed to terminate the lease for 20 years. A potential buyer can then communicate with the Federal Ministry about any expansion plans for the police station, says NÖLIG managing director Peter Klingenstein.

NÖLIG is selling the police building because the municipality, which is also selling the property in the heart of the city as part of the package, has included the area in an urban development concept. “The sale is taking place together with the city and has been agreed with the police,” says Klingenstein.
