SK BMD Vorwärts Steyr collected 19 points from 13 games in the Middle Regional League two games before the end of the first half of the season. The red and whites captured 14 of them in the stadium on Volksstrasse. They have only one defeat in front of their own fans, four wins and two draws.
In the last autumn home game tomorrow, Friday, at 7 p.m., coach Markus Eitl’s team is still just outsiders: SPG Wels, the favorite for promotion to the 2nd league, is visiting Steyr. The currently second-placed Messestadt team is the only team that has not lost a single game and has the best away record of all teams with four wins and three draws.
“I’m particularly looking forward to this derby,” says Eitl, “it could be a really cool match because the people of Wels care very intensively about the game.” With Milan Ziric, Hazar Eminazari and Jakob Kolb, three players who were recently ill should be fit again, and Hamza Ech Cheikh could also celebrate a comeback.
Amstetten welcomes KSV
SKU Amstetten is also an outsider in the 2nd league. The Mostviertel team, who are at the bottom of the table with two points, will host Kapfenberger SV tomorrow from 6:10 p.m. The Styrians have now moved up to fifth place in the table with 18 points.
