The tourist in an undershirt and shorts jumped into the sea from a height of about ten meters, the video was posted on Instagram. The man was identified and punished by the carabinieri for banning bathing near the Miramare castle and for climbing over a monument, Trieste daily Il Piccolo reported. There was no information about the tourist’s origin in Austria.
In the video you can see the three men arriving at the castle on their bicycles. One of them climbs the low wall that protects the seaside promenade and jumps into the sea. As soon as he reaches the shore, he disappears with his two friends. The management of the Miramare Museum then contacted the carabinieri, who were able to quickly identify the three men.
