For reasons still unknown, the dog, a Rottweiler, fell from a height of about ten meters to the ground on a street in the center of the Italian capital. The dog did not survive the impact.
Young woman suffered head injuries
The young woman was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident. She suffered a head injury, the newspaper Corriere della Sera reported. The scene of the accident is a side street of the Via del Corso shopping mile in the Roman old town, which is popular with locals and tourists. Many passers-by were on the street at the time of the incident.
It is still unclear why exactly the Rottweiler fell from the third floor onto the street. According to an initial reconstruction by the emergency services, there were also some cats in the household. The dog may have lost its balance after jumping onto the windowsill and fell. The owner is in shock.
