The man from the Ried district was working on the compost turning device at the composting site in St. Georgen. He had just turned it off and was trying to climb down when he slipped and fell about five feet to the concrete floor.
The 60-year-old was injured, but was able to call for help using his cell phone. After initial treatment, he was flown to the Ried im Innkreis hospital in the “Europa 3” rescue helicopter.
