A large-scale search for a 34-year-old suspect was underway in the region around Langenlois (Krems district) on Monday morning. The man is believed to be in possession of a firearm and on foot.
The man being sought was described as being around 1.70 meters tall. He is said to have light brown hair and the man’s stature was described as normal. The clothing used is unknown. It was emphasized that the public is asked to report any suspicious perceptions immediately by calling the police emergency number 133. The requests of the executive in the Schiltern area must be complied with and hikes should be avoided for the time being. According to ORF Lower Austria, the Cobra task force was also involved in the operation.
According to media reports, the victim is a 39-year-old. The woman is said to have been killed on Sunday. This has not yet been confirmed by the police.
