He Broad Front (FA) launched Espacio Celeste, a sector that seeks to emphasize sports spaces and the personal development of young people through them.
List 906 has the presence of former athletes and is led by the businessman Gustavo Torenabest known for his role as “the Celestial Duck”the unofficial mascot of the Uruguayan Soccer Team since 1998.
Espacio Celeste was officially launched last Saturday, October 28 at 3:30 p.m. at the Platense Patín Club (Montevideo). The event was led by himself Torena and also featured the presence of various figures from carnival and tropical music.
In dialogue with Subrayado, Torenawho will be a candidate for deputy, assured that he “is one of many who are on the list (906)”, and highlighted the presence of artists of the tropical genre, stating that they “convene a lot of people.”
Regarding these, he stressed that “apart from calling, they have their ideas, they have their thoughts like all Uruguayans, like all human beings.”
Likewise, he pointed out that “we must move away a little from those prejudices that so-and-so can be a deputy, or so-and-so, here (in Espacio Celeste) the deputy can be the one with the most capacity, even the bowler on the corner can be.”
Regarding the axes of list 906, he confirmed that the area of the sport so that young people go to sports venues and attend places of recreation.
Gustavo Torena targeted the National Sports Secretariat
Torena launched strong criticism against the National Sports Secretariatheaded by the former president of the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF), Sebastian Bauza.
“We have (on the 906 list) basketball players, soccer players who know about the subject, today we have a Ministry of Sports (National Sports Secretariat) that does not know where the sports plazas are, let them dedicate themselves to making dough,” he concluded.
