A male body was found in a parked car in Oberwart on Thursday. The dead man was discovered early in the morning in the area of the rotunda, a police spokesman confirmed media reports in response to an APA request. The background was initially completely unclear. An autopsy was ordered.
The results of the autopsy will probably not be available until next week, according to the Burgenland State Police Department. This should clarify the cause of death and whether there is evidence of foul play or not. Until then, investigations will continue in all directions.
