16 other people were injured in the fire on Friday morning. The state news agency Irna reported this, citing authorities. The injured were taken to a hospital. The incident occurred in the town of Langrud in the north of the country.
According to the daily newspaper “Sharg”, the cause of the fire is not yet known. The head of the clinic was arrested along with other people as part of the investigation.
