Bank robbers quickly tracked down: loot spent on whorehouse visits

The investigators from the State Criminal Police Office were quickly able to clarify the robbery at a bank in Schwertberg. As reported, the robber entered the financial institution on the morning of October 23rd and threatened two employees with a razor. He then fled with the loot, more than 10,000 euros.

According to the police, the perpetrator is a 23-year-old Turkish man from the Perg district. The perpetrator’s clothing and the weapon were confiscated from his apartment. The suspect made a full confession.

He cited money worries as a motive. Apparently there was hardly anything left of the stolen amount. The 23-year-old claimed he had already spent the sum on visits to hotels and whorehouses. He was taken to the Linz prison.
