A 30-year-old man is still suspected of killing a 36-year-old. The court is expected to decide on Sunday whether the man should be detained further in a forensic therapeutic center. The spokesman for the Innsbruck public prosecutor’s office, Hansjörg Mayr, said this on Saturday.

The Pole was arrested as a suspect on Thursday. However, he was in a “mentally abnormal condition” and, according to the public prosecutor’s office, gave confusing statements. There have been no further interviews since then, Mayr specified. The investigators therefore do not have a reliable confession or information about the motive.
The 30-year-old and the 36-year-old, who was found dead in his apartment on Tuesday evening, had known each other. According to the investigation, conflicts are said to have arisen between the two. According to the autopsy, the victim died as a result of “massive violence with a sharp-edged object against the neck area.”
