On Sunday afternoon, the police in Hallein (Tennengau) stopped a vehicle that was driving over a barrier line and wanted to turn around on a priority road in the local area. A 68-year-old Upper Austrian from the Vöcklabruck district was behind the wheel – with a blood alcohol level of 1.32, as an alcohol test showed.

On Saturday afternoon, a 65-year-old Upper Austrian was caught in Abtenau with a blood alcohol level of 1.28 but without a valid driver’s license, the Salzburg police reported. The 65-year-old initially gave his brother’s details to pretend he had a driver’s license. He himself has not had a valid driving license for a long time. In addition, the inspection sticker on the vehicle had expired. Both men were forbidden to continue driving and the 68-year-old’s driver’s license was taken away. They are displayed.
