The Micheldorf fire department was alerted at 10:31 p.m.: The tent of a circus currently stationed in Heiligenkreuz was torn from its anchorage. The strong wind hit the tent in which 30 circus animals were housed. It was torn into the air and fell back to the ground.
The circus employees were able to put up the barriers around the enclosure again and thus prevent the animals from running away. The fire brigade helped to relocate the animals, illuminated the scene and supported the circus staff with work on the destroyed enclosure.
Animals and people were unharmed in the incident. There was major damage to the tent.
