Meanwhile, the senator clarified that since Town meeting “they are looking for everyone to put their foot on the accelerator with the signatures, to gather them as soon as possible” and that all the groups “speak of their great commitment to Town meeting and with him Artiguism”. However, he assured that “the commitment today is measured by the number of signatures” and assured that it is not that they are not mobilizing, but it is necessary to “redouble the enthusiasm so that the signatures come together as soon as possible.”
A space that Cabildo Abierto looks askance at
Within the audio, Manini Rios also referred to the space founded by Eduardo Radaelliwho made the group official Space of Free Peoples as a national group. There, the senator refers to the space as “a Trojan horse” within the party.
“We must avoid at all costs unconsciously transforming into a Troy Horse that destroys the only hope that the Uruguayan people have today of achieving the changes they really need. We must avoid all types of confrontation between lobbyists and seek to move forward with this reality,” said Manini Rios.

In that sense, Radaelli assured that the officialization of the new space as a national group has the objective of strengthening Town meeting and not weaken it. “It is not a space against anyone or to weaken the party. We continue to state that our leader is Manini and, in view of the fact that other currents are beginning to open, we want to make our mark,” explained Radaelli.
