This year, St. Martin’s eventful life will not only be staged on land and on horseback, the Traun will also be incorporated into history for the first time. The children are invited to welcome Martin with the lanterns they made at the market or brought with them. As a thank you, there is a little surprise at the end. The official opening takes place on Saturday at 10 a.m., accompanied by traditional dance music, modern folk music and the arts of the Schuhplattler. Various regional businesses offer local delicacies inside and outside the old paper factory in the ALFA Laakirchen-Steyrermühl culture and event center, including hearty goose burgers and bacon bread from the Laakirchner farmers.

Children can let off steam creatively by making paper, printing and doing crafts. The market is open until Sunday at 5 p.m. Admission costs 4.50 euros and is free for children and young people up to the age of 15.
