How satisfied are parents with the care their children receive in Linz’s crèches and kindergartens? In order to get an answer to this question, the children and youth services of the city of Linz survey the graduating class every year.

The results of the most recent parent survey from 2022/23 are now available; a total of 550 parents took part. They show a positive picture for those responsible: 92 percent of parents are very satisfied or satisfied with the care in the respective kindergarten. The assessment for the playrooms is even better, with the approval rate being almost 100 percent. The assessment of the city services offered is also positive in detail. For example, satisfaction with the management of the facility, the opening times and the cooperation with parents is very high.

For Social Officer, Vice Mayor Karin Hörzing (SP), the results underline that “outstanding educational work” is being done in the Linz childcare facilities: “The satisfaction of the parents and the best possible support for the development of the children are our top priority. We will continue to make every effort undertake to provide comprehensive, affordable and high-quality childcare and to meet the needs of families.”
