On Wednesday evening, two unknown people were each wielding a weapon in front of the toilet at the train station in Gmunden, probably blank pistols. Then one of them pointed the gun at passers-by.
At a gas station not far from the train station, two passers-by – a 60-year-old from Frankenburg am Hausruck and a 49-year-old from Gmunden – were threatened. The perpetrator pointed the gun at her and fired several shots in her direction.
The unknown man then ran away towards Bahnhofsstrasse. Nobody got hurt.
Police are asking for information
A report was filed half an hour later, and an initial search was negative. Now the police are asking for information. Both perpetrators are said to be young. The police description of the perpetrator is as follows:
- First perpetrator: Male, brown hair, cropped short on the sides, wearing black trousers, a dark sweater and a gray down jacket with a hood, his mouth and nose were covered with a black bandana at the gas station. The perpetrator was carrying a black backpack.
- Second perpetrator: Male, black short hair, wearing a black down jacket with a hood and black pants.
- Notes to this number: The Gmunden police station is requesting 059133/4100 for relevant information.
