Shortly before 7 a.m. on Thursday, the 51-year-old homeowner noticed the smell of fire. When he looked, he saw smoke rising from the adjacent building, a wooden shed, and immediately alerted the fire department. But in the meantime, the fire spread quickly and also spread to the residential building – a wooden house.
The owner and his 14-year-old son were able to get to safety in time and were uninjured. When the fire brigade arrived, the house in the densely built-up residential area was already fully engulfed in flames.

Surrounding houses were saved from the flames by the fire brigade, but were severely damaged by the enormous heat. The 51-year-old’s house burned down completely and the vehicles parked in the adjacent carport were completely destroyed.

The cause of the fire should now be determined. The extent of the damage is not yet known.
