According to police, the body is that of a 24-year-old Polish citizen. The man fell into the lake as a stand-up paddler at Lake Wolfgangsee on August 18, 2023 and never resurfaced.
On Saturday at 3 p.m., the Salzburg water rescue service received the call: A body had been discovered at a depth of 62 meters in Lake Wolfgang, about 200 meters from St. Wolfgang’s Church. They found two men who had been hired by the family of the missing Pole.
