Thieves blew up the ATM in St. Stefan again

As soon as there was an ATM in the local bank in St. Stefan, it was blown up again. Only shortly after the traces of the last explosion had been removed, brazen thieves blew up the ATM again. On Friday night, the citizens of Stefingen experienced déjà vu. Burglars once again took aim at the bank’s ATM. At around three in the morning, several residents were woken up by the sound of the explosion. Earwitnesses also report loud screaming. Shortly afterwards, a car sped away at high speed.

It was the fourth break-in in the past five years. It wasn’t until the beginning of August that the burglars destroyed the foyer with an explosive device. The windows had to be replaced. The renovation work was only completed shortly before World Savings Day. But even after the renovation, an uneasy feeling remained – rightly so, as it turned out. According to initial assumptions, the material damage is even greater than before. The new windows are broken again and the interior is also destroyed.
