After it became known a few days ago that Braunau’s wild boar was contaminated with the harmful chemical PFAS, the Upper Austrian food inspectorate is also testing fish, free-range eggs and meat from free-range pigs from the Braunau district. The office of State Councilor Stefan Kaineder (Greens) announced this in a broadcast yesterday. It is important to have certainty. As reported, wild boar meat is currently not being brought onto the market in 77 communities in the Braunau, Ried and Vöcklabruck districts.
