He Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will finance some 36 investment projects in different departments of the Uruguay.

The words of the bank representative emerge from his speech this Friday at the Executive Tower, within the framework of the signing of the framework adhesion agreement for the execution of the Program for the Development and Strengthening of Fiscal Management of the Office of Planning and Budget (OPP) and the Congress of Mayorsan event supported by the IDB, and which was attended by the president Luis Lacalle Pouamong other government officials.

The IDB official stressed that the development bank will “promote” the signed agreement, and that among the 36 projects, some will enter through competitive funds that will reward those that are aligned with the agenda of “equity, diversity, and climate change.” that the bank proposes.

“There are 40 years of support from the bank to this program, this marks a long-term partner with the country,” he said. Roswho added that the agreement allows “strengthening fiscal management at the municipal level” and working on “strategic works.”
