The former presidential candidate of Together for Change (JxC), Patricia Bullrichwho joined the libertarian campaign Javier Milei facing the runoff in Argentina next Sunday, criticized the support given Jose Mujicato the Peronist candidate and Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa.
Bullrih asked Mujica to agree on his statements about Peronism and its representatives after the former president and leader of the Broad Front (FA) said that “I would vote for Sergio Massa with both hands”, in a video that went viral.
“Last week, Mujica said that the big problem that Argentina has was the strange phenomenon of Peronism, and this week he calls for Massa to vote. Mujica, agree; “I don’t understand you,” he reacted. Patricia Bullrich in statements to the newspaper El País.
“He says peronism) is the big problem’ and then calls for a vote on the problem. “Does he want to get us into more problems?” reflected the former Minister of Security of the government of Mauricio Macri and who caused a schism in Together for Change with his support for Milei.
How was Mujica’s support for Massa?
“If I were Argentine, I feel more than a brother in my heart, given the dilemma that the Argentine people have and not because Massa is my friend, but given the option that exists, I would vote for him,” said the former president at the beginning of a video broadcast on WhatsApp.
“It seems to me that he is aware that Argentina does not need a cataclysm but rather a backbone of national unity, because there he will have the strength to get out of the drama in which he is immersed,” explained José Mujica.
For this reason, he assured that “I would vote for Massa with both hands” if I had to vote in Argentina. “It inclines a step of hope with its open attitude of dialogue and inclusion and not of contempt and crushing. Good luck Argentines, good luck, good luck to all Latin Americans; for the Argentine people and for us, those of us who live close to Argentina,” she concluded.
