Catfish is ringing in the Christmas season today, Friday. The Christmas World will officially open at 5 p.m. Kindergarten children and singer Anna Coa create the musical program on the Almdorf stage on the town square. The first punch and mulled wine are served in the huts, and visitors can buy the first Christmas presents for their loved ones.
The 1.7 kilometer long light trail through the city center was expanded again this year to include a few stations, including a 20 meter long light tunnel. The Heavenly Cloud Kingdom in the Ledererturm is also open again, where children can hand in their letter to the Christ Child.
What’s new is that during the week the program on the Almdorf stage begins at 2 p.m. Children’s organizations, companies, clubs and blue light organizations offer a program from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The snow flurries start every day at 4:15 p.m. For five to ten minutes, the space in front of the Almdorfbühne is transformed into a winter wonderland.
