Where can Argentines residing in Uruguay vote in the runoff?

There are six centers arranged throughout the country for the 18,000 citizens authorized to choose in the vote between Sergio Massa and Javier Milei.

Argentina will define its next president this Sunday in a runoff between Sergio Massa and Javier Milei, in which nearly 18,000 Argentines residing in Uruguay They are authorized to vote in the different voting centers established by the Consulate for such purposes.

After some elections general elections where electoral participation grew, in total there are six venues throughout the country for the second round, arranged in the departments of Montevideo, Colonia, Fray Bentos, Maldonado, Paysandú and Salto, so that those who appear on the register of each Consulate can come and cast their vote.

What are the voting points?

There are six departments that have voting centers for the runoff:

How to justify not casting a vote?

Argentines residing abroad who reflect that condition on the registry do not have to vote compulsorily, although those who domicile in Argentina must do so.

If they do not go to the polls, they must justify not voting within a period of 60 days. To do this, they must present documentation that proves that the person was not in the country, either online through the Registry of Violators of the Duty to Vote or by going to the nearest Argentine Consulate.
