1.56 per mille: Alcohol drivers without a driving license came off the B144

A 25-year-old Romanian got behind the wheel of his car with 1.56 per mille of alcohol in his blood: The young man, who does not have a driver’s license, was driving on the B144 with a 22-year-old work colleague on Friday morning when he was in the municipality from Roitham (Gmunden district) lost control of his car.

During an overtaking maneuver, the car skidded on the rain-soaked road, veered off the road to the left and hit a tree and a guide post before coming to a stop in a bush. Both occupants were lucky and remained uninjured. The 25-year-old will be reported, the police said on Friday evening.
