Fatal crash in May
Just this spring, a 45-year-old Lower Austrian fell to his death on Rauen Kamm. The man set off on his annual tour to the Ötscher on May 1st and was then missing for weeks. At the end of May, his body was discovered about 400 meters below the exit from the Rauher Kammes on the south side of the Ötscher. When it fell, it is likely that it carried away masses of snow and was buried by them.
