Green islands, quiet areas and places to linger should be created. On this occasion, the Schärding Citizens’ List and the Beautification Association invite you to the Stadtwirt today, Tuesday, at 7 p.m., where a discussion and an information evening will take place. This should provide the opportunity to compare the current planning with alternative options, discuss advantages and disadvantages and evaluate the design from an individual perspective.
“The evening is intended not only to give the interested public a hearing, but also, if possible, to provide suggestions for further planning,” says Richard Armstark, chairman of the citizens’ list and the beautification association.
Contrary to a claim by the citizens’ list, the municipality is also planning to present the project in the form of a citizens’ event. As soon as the plans have been completed and concretized, there will be an appointment for citizens and interested parties. According to the municipality, the list of citizens was also informed about this at the last municipal council meeting. “We don’t see it as citizen participation if the population is only informed about this status after the plans have already been completed, instead of being able to have a say,” says Armstark.
