The government simplified several public procedures for citizens from the approval of a decree to advance interoperability between state entities, thus reducing the required documentation.

He Executive power approved decree No. 353/023 during the month of November, which establishes some obligations on the part of public entities, associated with the updating, exchange and periodic review of information linked to the formalities offered.

As of the new decree, public entities will no longer have to request certificates, certificates, testimonies or other documentation of a similar nature when the information can be obtained through access to the computer systems of other entities.

Among the examples, certificates from the Social Security Bank (BPS) or of good conduct, photocopies of the identity card, or authorization from the National Fire Department.

Interoperability: public entities will have 120 days to obtain the information

Likewise, it establishes a period of 120 calendar days for public entities to obtain the information available on the interoperability platform, without having to request it from individuals.

At the same time, it provides for alternatives such as authorized access to the system of the institution providing the information or the issuance of digital versions of certificates or documents signed with a digital signature, ensuring in the latter case their submission by secure digital means.

The decree also indicates the obligation for organizations to publish and periodically review the formalities and requirements that are detailed in the Catalog of State Procedures and Services.

The Executive seeks to continue advancing in the digitization and interoperability in Public Administration promoted by the Electronic Government and Information and Knowledge Society Agency (Algesic)in coordination with other state agencies.
