The Burgenlander has served all financial sanctions and suspensions imposed by the tour and has thus received the green light for his comeback. “My focus is entirely on the DP World Tour. I’m happy about the opportunity to play a whole season (24 to 25 tournaments, note) again,” explained the 38-year-old.
Since Wiesberger was unable to collect enough starts to extend his World Tour membership in only two tournament participations this year, he receives his right to start in category 11 “Top 40 career prize money”. In this list, the eight-time World Tour winner is in 32nd place with just under 15.5 million euros.
